From Guangzhou to Hong Kong and Macau
Guangzhou to Hong Kong — By Land
- Guangzhou–Kowloon Through Train: It takes 2 hours and costs 190 HKD/152 yuan to travel from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Hung Hom.
- Harmony CRH (bullet train): Guangzhou East Railway Station/Guangzhou Railway Station to Shenzhen takes 1 hour and 20 minutes, and costs 79 yuan. After you get off at Shenzhen Railway Station, you will get to Luohu Port. After you go through customs, you will reach Lo Wu Station for the Hong Kong MTR, where you can take the metro to different areas in Hong Kong.
- HSR (High-Speed Railway): Guangzhou South Railway Station to Shenzhen North Railway Station takes 36 minutes and costs 74.50 yuan. After you get off at Shenzhen North Railway Station, take the Longhua metro line to Futian Checkpoint Station (nine stations away, about 30 minutes), go through customs to the MTR's Lok Ma Chau Station, and take the metro to different areas in Hong Kong.
- Cross-border buses are available from Guangzhou city area to areas of Hong Kong or Hong Kong International Airport, taking about 2 hours. The ports you will pass along the way are Shenzhen Bay Port (mainly) and Huanggang Port.
Guangzhou to Hong Kong — By Sea
At present you can take ferries at Lianhuashan Port and Nansha Port to Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal (Sheung Wan), China Hong Kong City (near Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui), and Hong Kong International Airport.
From Lianhuashan Port there are ferries to Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal and China Hong Kong City, while from Nansha Port ferries are available to Hong Kong – Macau Ferry Terminal, China Hong Kong City, and Hong Kong International Airport. The ticket price is 165 yuan. It costs 265 yuan to get to Hong Kong International Airport, but you can get a tax rebate at the airport.
A trip from Lianhuashan Port takes110 minutes, from Nansha Port takes75 minutes, and from Nansha Port to the airport takes50 minutes.
Guangzhou to Macau — By Land
Long-distance bus stations around Guangzhou have buses to Gongbei Bus Station in Zhuhai, with ticket prices of 45–55 yuan at intervals of 20 to 30 minutes. The bus ride takes about 2 hours. Gongbei Port is located right opposite Gongbei Bus Station, and after going through customs you will get into Macau.
You can also take a 50-minute Light Rail trip from Guangzhou South Railway Station to Zhunhai North Railway Station, and go through customs at Gongbei Port.
Guangzhou to Macau — By Sea
It takes about 80 minutes by ferry to get from Nansha Port to Macau, and this service is only available on Saturdays and Sundays. This service is temporarily unavailable at present .
